To supply nitrogen, other ultra-high-purity gases, French gases group Air Liquide is planning to invest €70 million ($83 million) in building a plant in Wuhan, China.
The planned Wuhan industrial gases plant will produce 52,000 Nm3/hr of nitrogen, as well as oxygen, argon and other gases.
Ongoing demand for NAND flash memory chips in Wuhan industry is encouraging investments in industrial gases plant.
The plant is planned to become operational in 2022. Air Liquide secured a long term contract agreement with its China based client (buyer of gases to produce NAND flash memory chips).
