  • BASF starts new acrylic dispersions production line at its plant in Malaysia

BASF started a new line of production of acrylic dispersions at its plant in Pasir Gudang, Malaysia in March 2021. The company commenced operations on its first acrylic dispersions production line in the Pasir Gudang plant in 2015.

The new production line facilitates the manufacture of new dispersions technologies under the Arronal EDGE, Acronal PLUS, Joncryl, and Acronal ECO product ranges. The dispersions produced here will be marketed to coatings, construction, adhesives, and packaging industries in the Asia Pacific.

The plant is located in the Johor Port Free Trade Zone, so the company can easily export its products to customers throughout the region. Since the location is close to three world-class ports, the expansion will be a key supply point for our customers in Malaysia, Singapore, and other ASEAN countries, also as Australia and New Zealand (ANZ).

The new production line is equipped with condensate stripping recovery technology that reduces freshwater consumption and wastewater generation, thus ensuring eco-friendly production systems.
