National Grid Saudi Arabia (NGSA) is upgrading its power grid infrastructure and Dow Company is collaborating with it to supply materials for pre-qualification testing of power cables. Saudi manufacturers will use Dow’s trusted ENDURANCE™ cable insulation system to intensify EHV cable production.
NGSA is accelerating its progress in power grid operations by replacing the old High Voltage (HV) cable underground network consisting of oil-filled cables with Cross-Linked Polyethylene (XLPE) cables. It is being further boosted by the induction of XLPE cables at Extra High Voltage (EHV) level.
