Canopy Growth Corp. is a Canada-based company that is engaged in the production and supply of medical cannabis. The company primarily offers products like oils and concentrates, soft gel capsules, and hemp.

It mainly concentrates on the treatment of chronic pain, seizures, muscle spasms, nausea, and loss of appetite.

Canopy Growth Corporation was founded in 2012 in the name of Tweed Marijuana Inc. in Ontario. Later in 2015, Canopy Growth Corporation was formed with the merger of Tweed with Bedrocan Canada.

Product Portfolio: The company offers its products under the following categories.

  • Edibles - The facility in Smiths Falls produces cannabis-infused chocolates.
  • Beverages – CGC has developed a proprietary process that distills whole flower cannabis into a clear liquid. This liquid is used as an active ingredient in a wide variety of THC and CBD beverages, offering consumers an alternative to traditional drinks.
  • Vapes - Canopy Growth has designed a line of vape pens and vape cartridges that exceed hardware safety requirements. T
  • Dried Flower
  • Olis & Concentrates - Using high-quality inputs, CGC produces cannabis extracts using state-of-the-art supercritical fluid CO2 extraction technology. This process extracts the major cannabinoids (THC and CBD), as well as the minor cannabinoids, terpenes, and flavonoids that contribute to the overall medicinal value of medical cannabis, resulting in a highly concentrated resin that can then be dissolved in a food oil carrier to comply with government regulations and to make it easier to administer orally.
  • Soft Gel Capsules - Softgels offer a convenient, precise, and discrete dosing solution for those interested in consuming their cannabis in pill form. CGC Softgels are currently available in a variety of concentrations, from micro to full doses, with more to come.
  • Hemp - Although hemp varieties are members of the cannabis plant family, they contain very low levels (<0.3%) of the psychoactive ingredient THC (delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol). Hemp is an excellent source of low-cost CBD, and by leveraging the expertise in hemp farming and cannabinoid extraction, the CGC hemp division is uniquely positioned to take advantage of the proposed regulatory changes that will allow the collection and processing of CBD from hemp.
